Founded in 2016, SFABF is a dynamic, multi-day event showcasing a wide range of printed material, including artists’ books, zines, monographs, art catalogs, periodicals, and printed ephemera. Since 2023, when Minnesota Street Project Foundation stepped in as the non-profit presenting organization behind this beloved cultural event, public enthusiasm has continued to grow, as has its footprint—which now encompasses four buildings along Minnesota Street.
The fair serves as an important platform for independent publishing, fostering engagement, and placing the unique history and perspectives of the Bay Area in dialogue with national and international publishing communities. SFABF25 features an extensive roster of 155 exhibitors, 30 of whom are international, traveling from countries including Australia, Indonesia, Japan, and Nicaragua.
